This morning my boyfriend (now fiance...) Mark picked me up from my house because the plan was for us to spend Christmas at his place (yesterday we were at my house). We talked and were all excited about Christmas times and what not. 103.5 fm was playing a Beatle marathon, which was awesome. We were singin' a long and la la la.
When we got to Mark's house, they had some presents for me. His sisters gave me a basket full of Dr. Pepper with some pop corn, his parents gave me some Bath and Body Works stuff, and they also gave us some random family church booklets. Ha ha.
Mark handed me a big box. The tag said, "To: Becca, From: John, Paul, George, and Ringo" Then his whole family gathered 'round. I was like, "Oh my..." I unwrapped the box and opened it. Inside was a Dora the Explorer toothpaste, a Batman toothbrush, a Walmart gift card, and a temple reccomend holder with a picture of the Manti temple on it. Mark handed me a note and told me to read it. This is what it said;
"Dear Rebecca,
We've come to the conclusion that you are in fact our biggest fan. We wanted to show our appreciation for your admiration and devotion to us and our music.
Each of us as given you something that either means something to us or to you.
John-''Hullo Rebecca! How are you? My gifts to you are the toothpaste and toothbrush because there's no better way to spend the holidays than havin' clean teeth! Enjoy and Merry Krimble!"
Paul-"Hello there. I've chosen to give you something that's always nice to have, especially when it's used well. Enjoy your gift card and spend it well. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas time."
George-"Hello, Rebecca. This time of year is a wonderful time because it commemorates the birth of our Lord. My gift is the card holder thingy with a picture of one of your church's temples on it, because religion is important to you. God bless you!"
Ringo-"Hi there. First off, thanks for choosing me as your favorite. I read your story about us... and I'm flattered. But... I thought up a better ending. Happy Christmas!"

After reading said letter, Mark handed me a smaller box. I got very nervous as I untied the ribbon and opened it. Inside was a diamond ring. Mark took the ring, placed it on my finger, and said, "Will you marry me?" Of course I said yes. I almost cried! Mark is a dork, and he's my dork. biggrin He and I love the Beatles. He's just so perfect. He even kind of looks like a Beatle. Is that just perfect? Many hugs and kisses followed. The family cheered, and I got hugs from everybody, including Mark's grandpa.
