WEEEEEELLLL, I have a facination for the horror genre and i think it'd be wicked cool to strat dressing guro, but I'm wondering if anyone knows some good fake blood....my friend might know because her 'rentals are big into halloween, but the stuff we used last year game out too brownish after awhile, and didn't stain all that much. I'd love something vibrant red that stayed..or at least the red...

How about red acrylic paint, thats what I used for a halloween costume, just get it on a big paint brush and throw/splatter it on whatever you want. smile

Mix acrylic paints to the color you want, add a bit of water and matte medium, and splatter. Ta da.
For blood you can eat, corn syrup, cocoa powder, and red food coloring work pretty well. Just play with the amount of each until you get the consistency you want!

I've had good results with the edible blood Spuntino described, but I think we want different things from our fake blood. I was about to rave about Halloween World blood, but I see drying realistically isn't what you're looking for. Although I do enjoy washing it out, it turns from dry brown bloodstains back to vibrant red blood.
