I think for me it's important to differentiate between the trans person who has already transitioned (to wherever on the gender spectrum they want to be) and the trans person who is in transition, or considering transition.
I know to some extent it depends on the person, but the level of stress and emotional anguish that seems to go along with the process is just too much for me. I don't have the emotional resources, I'm not up for supporting someone through that, only to have them come out the other side a completely different person than I fell in love with. If you want to call me cold or disloyal, go ahead, but I've been there, and nobody wins. But that isn't really because I don't want to date someone who is trans, so much as I don't want to date someone whose life is in complete and painful upheaval.
On the other hand, I have no problem dating someone who has transitioned and is satisfied with where he/she/whatever is. Although if they're overly political about it, I tend to find that a turn off, as I just don't like politics much in my personal life.

I could never be with someone who hasn't had their sex change yet. Like, a girl tried to get with me once, and she was on hormones, but i found out she still had her p***s. And... that is just really gross to me. I wouldn't want to be with someone, incidentally, who had both a p***s and a v****a. Again, just too weird for me. Also, as a personal preference, I don't know if i could be with someone who had quite obviously had a sex change. Like, if their features were just way too overly masculine, especially.
But then, I'm very picky with people I date who haven't had sex changes. So, idk. Some things would just be weird to me. But I think a person who had already done the sex change, and who truly acted and looked like the gender they had changed to would not be unacceptable to my standards.
I feel like such a weirdo. Everyone else is like 'love for all' and i'm really picky. =P

I'm 3rd Gendered- but I consider myself bisexual due to lack of experience with non-binary partners.
I'm not opposed to being with people who are trans or non-binary, but I'd be concerned that if they were having difficulties- it might trigger my dysphoria and that would be an unstable environment for me to live in. sweatdrop
If I could have the same triggering rate I have with people who are cisgendered- I'd be open to it.

This is where I am afraid I must plead general ignorance/inexperience gonk Please forgive me for living in a uberconservative backwater. I am seeing a bunch of words here that I'm going to have to go learn before feeling comfortable fully attempting to answer the question, but I shall do my best.
I try to keep an open mind, I really do, but some things just aren't for me. I've never really found a male attractive, and honestly, the only p***s I'm interested in is my own sweatdrop I'm not saying that these other identifications would necessarily be completely out of the question for me, but I am a bit "old fashioned hetero" I guess.

Esiris Which terms are you needing help with? I think I've got it, Riri smile "intersex" and "3rd gender" were what really threw me, I've just not come across those terms. So I went on a self-education binge. I will do some more later but I have to get ready for work. As of right now I am still not fond of them as they seem a bit vague *shrug* I am used to precision work, I like things exact when they can be. Identifying people can be a tricky business though, I fully understand that *looks to his own story*

It's like how most Europeans will understand the cultural differences between Irish, English, Scottish, German, French etc- but understanding different Native American tribes, different African tribes, different groups of India or the Middle East- and by in large there isn't an understanding because most people don't think they need to understand the other groups. There was an amazing video on Privilege my house watched a while ago- if you're interested in understanding more, I'd happily provide you a link.

I'm all for greater understanding, Riri smile link me.
And I'm afraid I have to argue a bit about the vagueness of "intersex" but I think it's because of the possible usages. I am looking at it from a medical standpoint (prior training, and hopefully to return someday...although I DO like this tech thing...cyborgs are too far off yet though). Where I think you may be looking at it more as a social self identification, am I correct?

I'm looking at it from a medical perspective- I consider being intersexed to be a largely congenital condition- I'm not a doctor so I wouldn't know if some people who had post-birth non-gendered genital alterations would count or not. sweatdrop Come to think of it- I have a few good links. How much do you know about Social Privilege? It will help me narrow it down. And 3rd Gender is more vague in our culture than it is in lots of other places in the world- and even then, it's largely focused on people who are sexed as male, but do not identify as Man. People who are sexed as female seem to get the short end of the stick. sweatdrop

Feed the brains?
