Ever heard of separation of church and state?Oh and btw over 1500 animal species have homosexual tendencies and there is more proof of natural selection and evolution than creationism which is by a contradictory book written in the bronze age. Noahs Ark and Talking snake sure, enjoy your little fairy tales and closeminded thinking. Not to mention that there is absolutly no evidence and I repeat NO ******** EVIDENCE of god and the bible which makes a good firestarter is NOT OUR LAW! so Thank you!

I actually live in Australia, so as to whether i think it should be legalised in all 50 states of the United states, i can't give an opinion backed by evidence. But in Australia i strongly disagree with it, firstly for religious reasons, though i recognise that the laws of both our nations are secular, removed from religious influence, religion still plays an important moral role within the societal fabric, while not legally enforced it influences how people think and feel. Secondly, i just don't believe that they should change our long established laws and statutes because it has suddenly become "alright" to be gay.

You know I find it sad that no matter how many times we criticize former generations for doing it, people still determine how right or wrong something is by how well it fits into their comfort zone of routine and predictability.

Why? Cause it does not effect me! I just don't see any good reason to deny gays right and to be honest its kind of a d**k move. and like I said if its a religious thing then why can atheists marry?Cause religious marriage and legal marriage are 2 different things.plus there are many many churches that are accepting to homosexuality and they can get married there so the only reason to deny gays rights is if you hate them cause of religious reasons or personal reasons, and hate is just plain wrong.

Underworld Priestess James628 you dont have to be married at a church to legaly get married yes, but there are people who don't want to get married without being in a church. Those people will have to deal with it, frankly. We cannot force a private institution to perform a wedding if they have a moral qualm with the wedding or those being wed.
