lilchibiusa GreenInkling lilchibiusa There is a shark girl taking the overseer's place, so there are no worries there. I wonder when he will come back to our tanks.
That's not that little stone statue there in our tanks, is it? If so, I haven't gotten any compensation for good fish-taking-care-of from it. sad
Really? eek It should glow like the overseer does, but it won't look much different. It's not like it can open up like a clam. Try clicking on it the first time you log in each day. No, it hasn't given me anything. sad I wonder what's wrong?

You could submit your problem in the problems forum or whatever it's called. Someone might be able to help.

I have seen some people in the GCD talking about not changing their B.O.O. skin so they can keep it, kind of like how the grombies do.

Personally, I was never really fond of red-eyed, white-skinned look.

I'm not fond of the B.O.O. skin or grombie skin, but rarity increases value even if it does look ridiculous.

Think of the value as a status symbol. The grombie skin for one shows that that person has been on Gaia for a long time. It shows a high level of dedication to Gaia because that person had to spend forever hunting down all of those grunnies. It also reflects the commitment to the skin by not changing. In short, it shows that you are a hard core Gaian. On the other hand, getting the B.O.O. skin was easy. All you had to do was join the right team. It's not like the grueling struggles of the past. But back to your question, the skins act as a kind of cultural capital. Think about Jane Fairfax in Emma. She was accomplished, but she didn't have money. Her accomplishments were cultural capital enough to give her a certain rank even without money. It's the same idea with the skins. biggrin
(Wow... Jane Austen and Gaia...) rofl

GreenInkling Wow chibi, that was expertly expounded upon! Thankyou. I'm not sure about it being expertly expounded upon. lol However, the English department has taught me how to build arguments. And since I'm taking a Jane Austen class right now, Emma popped into my head. Next, we're reading Persuasion. biggrin
