I saw it the other day and it does look absolutely stunning! It seriously looks amazing, but it also looks like a gigantic project to take on!
As far as the kitchen's concerned, my sister in law went on Umrah during Ramadan and said you can basically live off what people give each other in the masjid xD no need to buy or cook anything. During Ramadan at least :>
It looks so amazing, insha'Allah I'll be able to go soon as well.

I don't think money is going to be a factor Insha'Allah. But I wouldn't want to see the old structure go, cause I'm not sure exactly how much but it has parts that are hundreds of years old, and I don't want to miss things that maybe the Sahabas saw and experienced. It really helps you feel you're part of the Ummah when you go there and realize you're in the same great place and doing worship as Ibrahim (as) and then Prophet Muhammad (saw) did, I know the essence is still the same, but the old structure helps in some ways to feel like we are experiencing the same thing that they did visually I mean. Don't know if you get what I mean, but I'm not sure how much the people I mean Muslims would like the old ancient part to be completely taken away from there. There has been extensions in the past Alhamdulillah, but that did not destroy the old structure. The new proposition looks nice, attractive and helpful for the worshipers, but I wish there was a way they could do all that without destroying the old part. Well that is my thought, Allah knows best smile

So alhumdililah, i dont think any of it will be destroyed :3 Eh I so did watch it so I'm telling, I'm not that ignorant sis lol...moving it will remove the essence of that original Holy Mosque, that's what I meant...it wont be the same and won't be part of the original structure as it was meant to be...also the future plans seems to me to be moving even the minarats (you know the long pillars I wonder if I spelled it right) and the domes, which would be totally against the spirit because those have important Islamic meanings and significance to the Holy Mosque itself and the people who visit there. I personally was looking forward to the extensions, and that's why I was curious to see what they are doing next, but I wish they don't go into moving the older structures of the building and definitely not the important aspects like the minarats and the domes Insha'Allah. Edited.
