Yes it is. I read a very interesting book, written from a while back, but very relevant today. It is called Materialism Vs. Faith.
If you go into tafsir on why Surah Al-Kahf [The Cave] is a protection against Dajjal, you will find, Alhamdullilah, numerous examples mentioned in this beautiful chapter about how those who remember Allah and the Meeting will surely be the ones to prosper, whilst those who cling to the glitter and glamour of this world are those who will not prosper.
After all, this world is only temporary, we really have to prepare for our next life. Dajjal is meant to make this world seem like it is beautiful, the ONLY life for you. But as a muslim, that is obviously not true.

I will InshahAllah try and get the author's name, but that book, although quite a heavy read, is very eloquent and well-written. By heavy-read, I don't mean it's a tome, it's actually very short, but the vocabulary is very erudite.
