Hmm... interesting.

Although I still believe the earth is warming, not cooling or going through its "regular ups and downs".

I have 2 observations. (1) The vast majority of people do not understand "satire" and "irony". (2) The vast majority of people don't understand global warming. People take the term "global warming" literally. This summer was cooler than last summer so global warming is a hoax, right? Wrong. We should think about the current crisis as "global climate change". As the planet (as a whole) gets warmer, local climates become more extreme. I'm not talking about hotter summers and colder winters, although that can happen. I'm talking about part of the country experiencing record breaking drought while other parts have record flooding and rain-fall. We are approaching the point where no matter what we do we wont be able to reverse the climate shift.

Global cooling happens when the northern hemisphere is pointed towards the sun, If you notice that most of the Earth's land are on the northern hemisphere and thus most of the planets vegetation are stationed there. The earth cools down since photosynthesis occurs and reduces the carbon content of the atmosphere, global warming is at it's most when the southern hemisphere is pointed to the sun and the process of photosynthesis slows down by a considerable rate. While this cycle of global cooling and heating are being destroyed by the CO2 emissions of the populace the planet's heating system goes into overdrive and the cooling system cannot counter the constant warming.
