In Christian homes, God is a present help in time of need, the Almighty Father, the source of all blessings and sometimes the source of discipline. For some, although this is a fallacy, they see God as their magical lil' buddy, ready to bail them out whenever and cool with them if they sin. For others, He's a disapproving God ready to smash you if you do one thing wrong.
But in all of these, He's present and his worshipers talk to him daily.
What is it like in Jewish homes? Is God authoritarian? Wise and kindly elder? Best friend? How do they relate to God the Father without Jesus, God the Son? How do they pray? Does it have to be in Hebrew for the prayer to be holy?
I have never heard a living, believing Jew discuss his relationship with God. The atheist Jews have been much more open about how they feel about Him.
