Oh, Pasa...don't worry...a hundred years here is different...didn't you listen to Kero last night, when he talked to Luna...you'll live much, much longer here...time changes here...it stretches...a century here is a day out there...I'm nine-million years old...my kind, though immortal, typically fade out after a few millennia or so...but on my world, my parents are still alive...as are some of Kero's foster parents...time to us is what we make of it...he'll be home for dinner, Pasa...I promise you...

The boy accepts her words at face value on one hand, but deep down inside he is still rather worried. He washes up the dishes and stacks them on the rack, more from the need to do something rather than anything else. If he keeps busy, he doesn't need to think about it.

Time is different here, like I said....among the immortals, fifty years is nothing...so it's nothing to us as well...now, while I get my kids set up in school, why don't you relax a little? Kero's going to be busy and annoyed for a long time...
