So each summer my family chooses different plants and vegetables to plant in our garden. We've done a variety of plants such as catnip, sunflowers, tomatoes, grapes, herbs, and much more. Here's the thing: some work, some don't. So, I thought of a great way to share your stories, tips and hints. All you have to do is fill out the form below, and share your successes and failures with plants that you have tried in your area. For a region map of the U.S, see this.

If your plant has succeeded, use this form:
Try this plant!
Name of plant:
Region, State and/or country you live in:
Conditions for plant? [Sun, shade, part sun, water plant, etc]:
Did you buy it as a seed or grown plant?
How did you plant it? [Or how did you start it as a seed]:
Tips, hints, suggestions?

If your plant didn't work out, use this form:
This plant didn't work!
Name of plant:
Region, State and/or country you live in:
Conditions for plant? [Sun, shade, part sun, water plant, etc]:
Did you buy it as a seed or grown plant? [Try to be specific, name all steps!]
How did you plant it? [Or how did you start it as a seed]:
Were there any unusual weather patterns [drought, too much rain, etc]?

Feel free to offer tips to those people who's plants didn't work out! Remember to specify all steps in the planting process to better describe what went wrong (or right!)

Try this plant!
Name of plant:Bleeding Heart
Region, State and/or country you live in:Minnesota
Conditions for plant? [Sun, shade, part sun, water plant, etc]:It doesnt need much light at all, and usually does fine with any type of watering, just dont way over water it.once a week in a non rainy enviroment will do
Did you buy it as a seed or grown plant?well, we had a bush growing at our old house, but we moved, so we cut of a branch and tossed it by the new house. we did nothing the first 2 years, and in the 3rd year we realized it was growing, so its really easy
How did you plant it? [Or how did you start it as a seed]:just tossed it onto some open soil. i also took a few of the flowers off the new bush at our house and put them in a pot. theyre growing too
Tips, hints, suggestions? This is a very easy plant to grow, and doesnt need much attention. its a beautiful bush, and comes in 2 colors (i believe) white and pink. i never used store bought seeds, but ive used seeds right off the plant, so it cant be that different. the first year it grows, itll be kinda small, but every year it will get bigger, and you dont have to replant it! if you want this plant, this is a very prime time to plant, but you can plant it almost any time, just not winter, especially snowy states.

Sorry, i love plants

Try this plant!
Name of plant: Chamomile
Region, State and/or country you live in:MN/North
Conditions for plant? [Sun, shade, part sun, water plant, etc] razz ure sunlight. the more sun the better
Did you buy it as a seed or grown plant? i bought it from target as a seed and grew it myself
How did you plant it? [Or how did you start it as a seed]: Clay pots work the best to begin with fill with loose planting soil and leave room at the top. put 10 to 50 seeds(depending on the size of the pot) scattered on the top, then cover the seeds in about i/8th inch of soil. water immediately then put it in diresct sunlight, and keep it in a place where itll get as much sun as possible.
Tips, hints, suggestions? like i said, start in a CLAY pot. plastic pots just dont work as well. sunlight is an absolute must.
