Our goal this month is to have 100 members and twenty posts in every forum- and we're soooo lagging!
All you have to do is post a couple of times in each subforum-you don't
even have to do it all at once! Besides, there's a bonus! For the first
five members with ten posts in every forum EXCEPT A Wolf's Journey
there will be a 10k prize-Woohoo!
Looking a little empty? Help me fill it up! Send me
birthdates, contest dates, and other things that might add a little spice to the days and make my job harder!

For those of you who've been too busy this summer to do much in the
guild, we have an intro thread all set up. It's easy! All you have to do
is post your name(real or fake; it's up to you) and some things about
yourself-what you like, what you don't, where the cat came from, why
is the cat flushing the toilet, whose chicken is currently eating your
breakfast, etc.,ect. Just remember that if it gets too long, you'll have
to do it in two posts!

Each month I'll have a featured Rant from one guild member.
Rant about a book, a movie, a person, an event, your favorite song!
Rants aren't limited by anything except language and length. Head to
the guild and The Prowl subforum and check out the rules
there. This month I've pulled in a favor and asked my friend
foreveryday to write me a Rant:

Is it just me, or is the sky falling? No seriously! It's been raining for four
days straight now and I'm starting to wonder if it's possible to drown
in pouring rain! Seriously, what's the big idea? Did God pull the plug
on the celestial bath tub? Or was it a pool?!!! All I really know is, it's
wet. Crazy wet. Step-off-the-porch-and-sink-in-mud-to-your-knees
wet. Now the grass is going to grow and get all green and lush and my
loving father is going to be in here the moment it dries to say "Lawn
need to be mowed" in the usual, commanding fashion.
Do my ears deceive me, or is it actually getting harder? In this book I
read once I heard that thought manifests itself in physical ways, it just
takes a while. Ice crystals change according to the thought they're
frozen to, like music or words or emotions, so why not rain? It clearly
heard me thinking and decided to rain harder as a punishment for not
being grateful about it. I can just imagine it thinking Oh yes, I'll show
you to gripe about life's most pure form you ungrateful little
monster! Oi.
Rain. Yeah. Four days straight. The one benefit to all this is...
Zzzzzzzz...

May's Magic Horseshoe

Once upon a time there lived a young girl named May. May was fifteen
and loved playing sports. May was terrible at every sport she tried and
no matter what she always lost.
One day May was walking all by herself feeling depressed that no matter
how hard she tried, she would never be good at sports. Then from out
of nowhere there was a horseshoe laying behind a bush. On it, it said
"this horseshoe is a piece of junk. Signed, Kevin. May picked it up and
took it home. She thought that maybe her father Allen could teach her
how to play horseshoes.
Her father took a week off so that his daughter May could learn how to
play horseshoes and one week later May knew how to play and was good
at it. Her parents were glad that she had found her sport. May entered a
horseshoe contest and won a brand new pair of skates.
May kept winning and winning until one day, a boy named Dalton was in
the finals with her. Dalton was the champion of all horseshoe games. He
was sixteen, tall, and was cute. Dalton came over and told May she didn't
stand a chance in the final toss. Dalton went first and got two tens and a
nine. There was only one way to beat his score. May needed a perfect
score. She grabbed the horseshoe she had found one day and was going
to throw it when the judges said she must use their horseshoes. May put
her horseshoe down and threw the horseshoe in her hand and got ten,
ten, and ten. May did it, she won at a sport!
Dalton came over and gave May her medal. She put it around her neck
and smiled as she left the game field. The next day she erased the writing
on her horseshoe. Kevin must have been bad at sports too. Then she put
it in a glass case for next year.
Dalton called the next day and asked May if she wanted to be treated to
lunch. May said yes and ever since May has believed that it wasn't the
horseshoe that was magic it was pure talent. The next day she went with
Dalton to lunch.

The Land of the Dead is coming alive(yeah, I did
that on purpose) with monsters and magic! Kedro has enlisted the
help of a shapeshifting demon called Lur to help him catch Daceria
at last, but there's a problem: the Deathwitch Kyrene is on his tail,
looking for trouble and about to find it!
Kallman's Swamp is turning into a complicated place
-and not just because of the quicksand. Hanna, our brave warrior
huntress, finally escaped capture by turning into her true self-a
woman with wild hair, blue skin, and the ability to breath under
water. The problem is, she can no longer speak English...which
gets her into a spot of trouble with Charlie, the giant Venus
flytrap, and Kallman, the wolf demon who lives in the swamps.
Kallman himself has come very close to falling in love with a
dangerous fox-girl by the name of Namine, and both of them were
in serious danger of death when Daceria herself appears just in
time for rescue, throwing Kedro's plan's in disarray while his Hunters
turn into allies for our heroes.
A Magician named Ferin enters town square in a flash of brilliant
lights, entrancing the entire village in a single sitting, and a girl
that exists only in dreams is about to show herself in his...but
what dreams exactly, and whose side are they on?
