I heard that silver trumpets resonate sound better than brass trumpets. Is this true? If it is, is it at all noticeable?
Also, all throughout middle school (3 years), I've been playing on a 7c mouthpiece. I'm now going into high school, and they want the trumpets to go to a 3c mouthpiece. What's the difference between the different mouthpieces?

actually, the metal does affect the sound, but it also depends on the company that makes it.
and the mouthpiece thing, 3c has a shallower cup, but it allows you to play higher notes a bit easier. ive been playing on a 1c sice my sophomore year.
