So I was watching the news a while ago, and I meant to tell the guild about this, but I forgot up until today. So, here it is! The 230 MPG car! Yep, you heard right! This is no joke. GM is expected to release this car by the end of 2009, along with other companies starting to release their triple digit MPG cars at the beginning of 2010. So what do you guys think? It's a $40,000 car, but is it worth it? Do you think this is the very beginning of efficient cars like the Chevy Volt? Would you be interested in buying one of these cars (if you could afford it, that is!)?

i think maybe something like that. but, for the price, i'll wait until the bugs are worked out. second-hand nike will serve just fine for now.

Right. I think that when more cars like that will be released in 2010, they will be cheaper. If I remember, from the video, they said that other companies were working on making 230MPG cars that were cheaper than the Volt. So, I'm pretty excited to see if everything works out or not. However, for the price of gas right now, 230mpg is amazing!

i agree. discussed it with the younger offspring yesterday. she's now thinking of what else she'd like to see in a vehicle, so that it fits into her idealistic-teenage-i'm going to take on the world master plan.

sadly the car I've got is not as fuel savvy as the car I thought I was going to adopt (1984 VW rabbit has like 40 mpg while the dodge stratus has only like 23 crying ) But yeah, Itd be awesome to see more car like that with such high mileage on the road!

Through what would be done with all the old cars? And all the carbon and pollutants released from making new cars?
