Any elf that wants to enter buys a ticket by sending 100 gold to Elf on a Bookshelf. At the end of the month, a random drawing is done to determine which of the elves that entered win ALL of the participating elves’ money and the 300 gold that Elf on a Bookshelf always contributes to the pot. For example, if 5 elves send 100g to enter the lottery, then one of them wins 800g by the end of the month (500g from the elves that entered and 300g from Elf on a Bookshelf.) All elves that participate in the lottery earn points.

This month would be the perfect month to take time away from your usual concerns and enjoy being in a new setting. Mars will be lighting your ninth house of travel and new interests from August 1 to 25. You are lucky to have this time. Take it, because very soon your work life will explode with energy.

Scorpio Oct 23 - Nov 21

Your home situation will jump to life. You may search through your closets to toss things out, or you may be search the Internet residential listings to swap your apartment for something better. You may carry fabric swatches or furniture out the door to be refinished. There are many possibilities.

Sagittarius Nov 22 - Dec 21

You are never at a loss for words. I shouldn't use the word "never," but let's say it as it is! You are a gifted communicator, and when you speak, others listen. This month your talent for informing, persuading, and even inspiring others will put you ahead of the pack.

Capricorn Dec 22 - Jan 19

The eclipse of August 5 will bring a salary matter to culmination. It may be that you settle on the amount you'll accept at a new job, or a raise for a job you have now. Sometimes an eclipse will ask that you give up one source of income for another, and that may happen here. If so, don't worry - you will find a better one in short order.

Aquarius Jan 20 - Feb 18
