I used to own pants from Tripp NYC, but then i decided i was too frugal to spend $60 on jeans from Hot Topic xD I do occasionally look in there, at the clearance aisle.

They are usually marked down if I can find them XD But they are decent quality and wear well...I actually bought one pair at Goodwill which I support very much XD (and Salvation Army)

Goodwill rules when you need nice things at nice prices.

The salwar kameez is something only Pakistani and Indian muslims wear over here, as far as I am aware.. it's a very cultural thing I suppose. I wouldn't wear them simply because I'm nowhere near from that region and neither is my husband xD I'd just look out of place.

As for me, I always wear abayas/jellabiyas, there isn't really any other equivalent that covers your body to that extent. They're super easy, fit over anything you might be wearing underneath, and presto :> I have mine mostly in dark colours. Black, dark blue and brown or beige, with few decorations. I have a long brown coat/jilbab for more wintery conditions.

But if I'm hopping over to the shop next door to buy milk, I just wear an ankle-length skirt and a loose zipper jacket or sweater.

I wouldn't wear trousers outside, mostly because they're too tight. If they're baggy and loose, they make me look very plump and disproportionate xD I prefer long skirts. unless I'm going sailing or roller skating or something biggrin

We have baju melayu in Malaysia for traditional cloth. XD It's design for Muslims. But as for ladies, it is baju kurung.

I am sure you will like it, it is a simple attire really. :3 And very comforting.

They look absolutely beautiful! So elegant! I've been bothering my husband about visiting Malaysia. When we do insha'Allah, I'll get myself some of those :>

(does anybody else agree that Malaysian women are just so so so cute with their round faces? You just want to pinch their cheeks whee )
