I'm curious about something, and I'm wondering if anyone has any theories. If a vampire bit an elf or a fairy, what would happen?

There are many ideas about vampires biting werewolves. Some say the werewolf would die, and others think it would become a hybrid.

What about the fey, though? Would their magic counteract the bite, or would they become a sort of hybrid as well? The fey are all about nature, so the thought of them being unable to go into the sunlight is depressing.

Anyway, what are everyone's thoughts on this? The people with the most in-depth, well-explained hypothesis will get points!

Well, you can certainly become a vampire if you're an elf in Oblivion ES IV (the greatest RPG ever, for those of you that have been living in a cave). You are a definite hybrid, having the powers/weaknesses of both.

Perhaps only an elven vampire could change an elf, though? If the sharing of blood is required, that would seem likely. On the other hand, maybe vampirism is a 'disease' that can jump between species. I'm guessing that someone would be less likely to change if bitten by a vampire of a species significantly different from their own... but it doesn't have to be impossible.

In the Tabletop game World of Darkness... the Changeling manual has that any Fairies/Elves die from being bit by a vampire. The explanation they give is pretty good. They have that vampire being creatures of "Banality" meaning reality and humanity that the Elves can't handle the change.

I think that if a vampir bit a elf the elf would shivel up and peel over.

That is something to be curious about....hmm.....I do believe that the fey would become part vampire. Something similar to the case of dhampires, how they can go out in sunlight but have senses closer to those of vampires. So the fey that was bitten would still be able to go out in sunlight because that strength of their original race would dominate over the vampire trait. I don't believe the fey would need blood....but if they did it would be minimal amounts. I'm not sure of all the supposed traits that vampires have, so I can't add more to my theory, but that's what I think based on what I've read about vampires.

Nebulance, Showren, and Animal get 4 points apiece for sharing their theories! Thanks so much for helping me with my confusion! rofl

I think that if a vampire bit an elf a highly powerful hybrid would be born. It would be an elf with a thirst for blood. It would be able to with stand the sun because of the elf part. It would have most of the best quailities that both elves and vampires have with a few of the disadvantages that they have. I would call it a velf. I would love to be a hybrid like that!!! Tee Hee!!

I have some theories that I made up years ago. Dark Faeries are halfbreeds created from a fairy and a demon. They are born with bat-like wings, pale skin, and fangs. They don't need blood but enjoy it. Their bite can turn a fairy or elf into a vampire-like creature that turns to stone until the sun sets. For this reason they often command gargoyle armies. They can endure the light for short periods of time but it makes them slow and weak. I'd say this would be the only way to create a vampire-like elf or fairy. Blood sharing could in theory create another equal.
