what is the most effective way to advertise auctions?

banners? affiliates? bumping? O:

just wondering, cause I always find it hard to get my auctions out there.

I did a poll in my auction asking how people came there, and more than 50% came from the auctions forum. I may not have been as good with advertising in other ways as I should have, but I really think it is important to keep your auction on the first page by bumping.

There isnt a fast or easy way. Offering freebies for bumps or hiring bumpers is most effective. Affliates and banners help too but they dont make up for bumping.
