xd Because he's a common, and by marrying him, she gave up her title as princess!
Wow! Now she has to live as a regular citizen...
To prepare, she practiced driving, and shopping at supermarkets, so that she'd be prepared. Isn't that cute?
She had her wedding ceremony in a plush hotel in Tokyo, and it was considered rather informal compared to royal standards. Her parents, did attend, though. So it's not as if they banished her.
