My happy place books are anything by Anne Bishop, Harry Potter, the Mortal Instruments, and the Raine Benares series by Lisa Shearin. Sensual, Fantasy, and the Raine Benares books are really funny.
My happy place would be in the middle of an empty clearing surrounded by giant trees.

hm. good question. yeah, i guess i do have a book that i call my "happy place", although it changes as my moods and surroundings change. right now, my current "happy place" book is probably my Edith Hamilton book of Mythology. smile the short stories are easy and fast to read, while still sparking my imagination and making me smile.
