Hello!
(I hope it is ok to be posting this thread)

While I am quite good at hand sewing, I am an extreme beginner at using my sewing machine. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a free pattern for a first-time lolita skirt?

Thanks so much! I really envy those of you who are good at sewing your own clothes.

Basic Rectangle Skirt with Pintucks and Ruffles
Basic Trapezoid Bustle Skirt
Princess Line/Flared Classic Skirt
Apron Style Bustle Overskirt
Highwaisted Skirt Tutorial
Basic Rectangle Skirt

Also, if you can find them, there are patterns in the Gothic & Lolita Bibles [including the English released GLBs] for various projects, usually they're small. Basic skirts, accessories and the like. For other projects, check the stickies in this subforum. There's one that's especially for patterns and tutorials! Some links are out of date or broken, but most are still fine.

I think you don't need patterns if you're just sewing a basic loli skirt. Just make sure that the hem(?) is wide enough and then add some ribbons and laces. biggrin
