When did you first begin being an artist and art collector?

Oh my..about middle of 6th grade,that summer and onward till now. My now best friend taught me and got me interested. whee
I've been an art collector when I had the funds to get art from someone that wasn't free..XD I can't remember the date. Sometime in 04 I think.
