Thanks for checking this thread out. I'm glad you did. For this is the most important thread in all of Mogul. Without it, you'll not know the aspect and general theme of the guild. Please read up on everything. If you don't read up on everything at first, at least check out the post that you'd be concerned with at the moment and come back to the others later (sooner would be much preferred)

Important note: Until further notice, all things earning oneself gold in the Mogul Guild IS VOID. I apologize in advance.

What is Mogul?

The name "mogul" is sometimes applied to a great personage or magnate. For example, the founders of the major Hollywood studios often have been called "moguls."

That's what Mogul stands for, and in some respect, what the Guild is striving for. To be great. In the past, I've came across people who wondered if they had to be rich and powerful (another term applied to Moguls) to join. My answer, which will not change, is no. It's just something I like the people of my guild to strive for. Greatness is something everyone should strive for. Therefore, the creed that follows, is something we would hope you follow.

The Mogul Creed

• To be one the richest and most powerful(if not THE richest and most powerful) Family on Gaia.
  
• To set an example to new Gaians and inspire more to be Moguls.
  
• To set a standard on how things are done on Gaia.
  
• To become a recognizable entity on Gaia.
  
• To accept with open arms our fellow man/woman, to be not only a powerful but respected group on Gaia.

Now follow the creed and remember that our goal is to be #1.

The Premise of the Guild

The premise of the guild has always been centered around a community located on a island. Although in the past we used the premise of a community starting from the ground up, today it has changed. I've made it difficult for the members in the past to get into the guild, so I've learned from my mistake. Now, it's simple, fun and beneficial to be an active user of this guild. Check further to see what the guild has to offer now.

Incentives! Incentives! Incentives!
Yes, I'm all about incentives. Many activities here will give you chances to earn gold, and these are usually activities that you regularly do on Gaia. The gold will come from us, the brothers (although anyone is free to do the same) so you don't have to worry about fees and stuff to hinder your chances of getting gold.

Business
Business, as in the past, is a key component of the guild. Even though the guild has made some serious changes, I would still like business to be what thrives in this guild. Therefore, a subforum will be dedicated to it. We are in the Commerce section of the guild catergories for a reason.

Mogul Interactive
Interaction is also key. Using Gaia's addition and games, I'm coming up with ideas that will make interacting with each other fun. Check out the subforum post for what will come of this.

Mogul Status
Even though I hate having to have certain "groups" within the Mogul guild, status gives more reason and incentives to members of the guild. The ranks of Mogul are as followed: Junior Mogul, Senior Mogul, Mogul Alumni and Mogul First Family. Each rank brings about a new position and incentive to the user that reaches that status. It's not to cause segregation, but a better way to strive for greatness within the guild.

About the Main and the Subforums

This section explains the forums in detail. If you don't read any other post in this topic, let it be this. This is important, as it will keep your thread from being moved and you being informed of your error.

Mogul District

The essense of this forum is to be a Gaia exchange-like forum. Now you're probably wondering how can I "chat up a storm" in a forum geared towards commerce? Well, listen to the word district. Now the district is to represent something like a downtown area in a bustling city. What would you expect in a place like that? Business, hangouts and just about anything similiar to the forementioned simile.

What you'll see here are

• Chatting. You can chat about whatever you want, about whomever you want, whenever you want (don't worry, there will be rules).
  
• Shops - You know what this is. Selling something on Gaia, you can do it here.
  
• Quest Threads - Everyone has done this at least once, and I know this will be done here in the guild, so might as well give the people a place to do it at. Note: Only serious quest threads are allowed. All others will be moved.
  
• Charity Threads - Let's see if this will be a reaccuring theme. Regardless, this is where they can be created.
  
  
  
  

Mogul Beginnings

The primary uses of this forum are

• Introduction Threads - For those who want to introduce themselves to the guild, it will be available to you at your leisure. You are allowed only one introduction thread, but you can post in it for as long as you want (just as long as it isn't spam)
  
• Departure Threads - Temporary or Permanent leaves from the guild can also be posted here. At first, it was to be a single thread, but this gives the main more activity.
  
• Question Threads - Any questions "related" to the guild can be asked in the main forum. Anyone browsing the forum will assist you ASAP.
  
• Guild Feedback - You have a suggestion to make the guild better, or you have something you dislike. Post it in the main. Whatever kind of feedback you can think of belongs here. Even if it pertains to the subforums. If your idea/suggestion is used, then you'll get gold. The amount depends on how beneficial and wide used your idea/suggesion is.
  

Besides the threads that you are allowed to create, the Main forum will have the Referral/Protege log, Mogul of the Week/Month nominating, voting and viewing, popular threads and updates.

Mogul Community

A Community forum. It will be centered on Gaia's actual home and towns. You can create threads that will be your "forum" homes and talk about your home and/or your house in towns. You can invite users to your house and you can have town specific activities. Parades, rallies etc.
Threads that are appropiate here

• Forum houses - Either in conjuction with your Gaia house, or just a house without any Gaia attachment, you can create it here.
  
• House invites - If you want to invite users to a house party, block party, whatever, it can be done here.
  
• Showcase/Rate my home - If you don't want to crate a forum home per se, but would like to show off, or get it reviewed, you are allowed to in this forum.
  
• Discussion/chats - Even though I'd prefer you to use the District for chatting, if it's community-based (think GCD but replace Gaia with Mogul) then it's allowed.
  
  

It's up to your imagination on the possibilties of this forum's use for you.

Mogul Theatre

My brainchild. Everyone has RPs, art and fanfic/stories pop up in their guild, but I thought a new spin is needed to make it interested and worthwhile. The idea has been toned down a bit, mainly because I don't know how to incorporate the other half of the idea (Read Know your roots, post 13, for the full idea), but it's still a good one nonetheless. The forum will consist of MD, Mogul Directors (story writers) MP, Mogul Players (RPers) MA, Mogul Artisan (Artist) and MC, Mogul Critics (A review team). Each Mogul will use their best talent, either the story writer, or the artist, and will try and make something that the MC will give rave reviews for. The better the review, the better the gold gain. There will be an award show that will award the nominees even greater amount of gold, status and fame wink

What you should do in theatre

• Fanfic/Story threads - To be viewed by everyone, and to be reviewed by the Mogul Critics. The creator (director) can be anyone. Even someone from the review team (can't be reviewed by themselves)
  
• RP Threads - To be viewed and participated by everyone, and to be reviewed by the Mogul Critics. The creator (director) and players (Rpers) can be anyone. Even someone from the review team (can't be reviewed by themselves)
  
• Mogul Artisan - To be viewed by everyone, and to be reviewed by the Mogul Critics. The artist (Artisan) can be anyone. Even someone from the review team (can't be reviewed by themselves)
  
• Discussion/Chat - You create discussion/chat threads, but they must be related to the forum.
  

This forum will be ever expanding, because it allows us to see the mind of our fellow Mogul.

Mogul Amusement Park

The last forum that will be solely my creation (the Moguls might come up with another subforum idea) is based on the gaming aspect of Mogul. It will be in conjuction with Gaia's games. Fishing, Towns and anything Gaia offers will be what this forum thrives on. Forum games will also be created here.

What belongs here

• Game invites - Need someone to join you in a game of Casino, Fishing or anything Gaia related? Post it here and let the games begin.
  
• Forum games - Word games has it's own forum on gaia, so why not here. You can created "Avi above" threads and such in this forum.
  
• Dice- The reason why I seperated this from forum games is that this one has more expansion. One could use the dice game in a tournament style.
  
• Discussion/Chat - As per the other forum, if you want to make discussion/chat threads, make it based on the forum. The only forum that doesn't need to be based on the forum is District.

At the moment, just keep with the Gaia rules and guideline, and also keep the topics in the correct forum.

The actual rules will be updated as I see fit.
