our band is playing Les miserables. i dont know much about it yet, butwhat i do know about it is that is really sucks

let's see the first year we were open we did 80's
last year we did Tribute to Elvis
then this past marching season we did a blusey jazz rock type deal.
this year he is thinking about the same type of show excpet for he is adding in a little bit of spanish and lating mix song into it and the beetles and somethin else

We did Guitar Hero 3. It was okay, I guess. This season we're doing Queen so I'm excited for that. I just wish he would've picked something that not alot of other bands have done. IT'll be awesome though, marching season always is! heart

TKO. [ The Knock Out ]
Movement 1- The Fight Begins.
Movement 2- The Inner Battle.
Movement 3- The Victory.
The music included a variation on the Rocky Theme, The Waterfront, a piece specifically composed for our band by Allan Emerson, annndd then a few more pieces. =D
I played Contra instead of trumpet this year. ^^ best decision I've made in years. I loved it because I was with two other really good guys, one my best friend who's got the mind to do it all and the other? well I just call him my little Japanese man. XD But he rocks it out too.
This year I wont know what the show is until the band banquet because thats always when our director reveals it. @.@ he gives us seniors some hints as to what it is and so far we know "Racecar" and that the number of movements is directly related to the show. o.O help? haha.

This past season we did "Power and Grace" renamed to "Fire and Ice." Basically it was two ballets (Firebird/Swan Lake) put together and arranged for marching band. There are quite a few videos of it on youtube (Rowlett High School) and another one here with a different set of drill at the end. Personally, I like the original ending more (the one not on youtube).
