I once thought that I was one of few people obsessing over books. Turns out I'm not alone. I just feel happy enough to post this.

I understand exactly how you feel. The first time I joined a readers' guild on Gaia and started going through all of the threads and realised that there were so many people with interests similar to mine I started crying. I think that's the only time I've ever cried tears of joy when I wasn't watching a film or reading a book.

I'm not the only one?! *looks around* ninja yaay!!! *joins in group hug* lol I always feel sorry for the people who say "I don't really like reading". They are missing out on so much. Reading dosen't have to be specifically for school. You can pick what you read. Thats the best part. Its an escape to anywhere you want to go. Everyone needs to escape every once in a while. The real world can be pretty scary. cry I just wish people would realize how wonderful reading can be.

Before this guild I know one person who likes books. But now I know people who are obsessed!!! I'm so happy. Okay, so here and the two other guilds I'm in for Harry Potter, and for Tamora Peirce get what I'm saying. None of my friends have read the books, so it's hard to explain why I burst out laughing when someone's talking about dafodils or about Cinderella. rofl I join group hug, yea!!! I too feel for those who don't like reading. I read so much my mom tells me that I need to escape fiction, and that the real world isn't made of words on paper. I think it's weird when she tell me this, as my grandmother said that she was like me when she was my age. My dad calls me a bookworm all the time, because he doesn't like reading at all. Reading is awesome, I'm so happy I'm in this guild. Yea!

I know what you all mean. Around where I live, very few people like to read a whole lot like I do. My friends complain that I read way to much. I'm glad there are others here who enjoy reading as much as I do! Now I can discuss the books I read. I have to agree, reading is a great way to escape reality. It puts you into whole other worlds where anything can happen!

Only two of my brothers in my house love to read. But they really don't care to discuss what they read much. The only book I can discuss with my sisters is Twilight, and we've done that a few times too much.
