Once I was having a conversation about hair cuts and at the time I was shaving my head, and someone said IN PASSING that I wouldn't be able to go grow it out and I said that I wouldn't cut it for two years.

And I didn't. That's not even something that I was determined to do just some thing that happened. When I say something like "I'm not changing my avatar" you can be sure that I'm not changing it.

cutting hair is different. I don't cut my hair for about 2 (sometimes more) years regularly. It's easy to just not cut hair.

What I was saying is that eventually they might release shoes that would more closely or perhaps even perfectly fit in the with look you were going for... or better pants, better jacket, etc. You might be keeping the same general look, but changing out items is still changing.

By the way, I kept the same avatar from my signature for about 4 years before changing it just last year.
