Okay, I'm writing a new story about a girl who is depressed and I don't know whether to write it in first or third person. FOr those of you who don't know or don't quite understand it, first person is like "I watched as the moon rose into the sky" and third person is like "Marie watched as the moon rose into the sky". Which do you guys think I should write it in?

Well, ok I get the book is about a girl who is depressed but what exactly is it about? That will help me give an opinion.

This is an amateur's opinion so forgive me if I'm not making any sense...
Just like what Kunoichi-san said, it will depend on what's the point of the story... If you want people to know what your character is thinking and/or experiencing, 1st person is best... But if it's just like normal one's the alter is better... razz

first person but if like you want other people's views that the character can't see then i'd go with third person

first it is kind of hard when u get further in the story to remain third
