ok. so i understand the mail section. but also we have our buddy list. and i see where it says to send an instant message. but it is telling me i have 2 messages, and i dont know how to retrieve them. help?

Check to see if you have tabs on your IM window. Also, click on each "online" member in your buddylist. A chat window will open, and should show the message waiting there...if there is one.
The messages may not be important if it is just some automated Gaia system message telling you that you're online.
