Confused about evolving items

I'm confused about evolving items.
What's the difference between a generation and a phase?
When you purchase on the marketplace does it matter if you purchase different generations?
Do you want the first gen on the market, or the last?
Will I still end up with all the items or poses if I purchase one gen instead of another?
I'm so confused.
Please help me.

Well, during its evolution the prices fluctuate greatly for evolving items due to the pose it currently has. In the end if it is an item you want to have and always keep, go for the cheapest generation, cause at some point they will all have all poses. When all generations have all poses it is more of a MP(Marketplace) plaything. First generations become more... trophy items. Know what I mean?

And yes all generations will have all poses. Just one gen gets it sooner than others. wink
