Minerva the Bookwyrm Captain

In a fan fic that I wrote, James convinced Remus to write a love poem about Lily for him to give to her. So, the style of this poem isn't supposed to be Minerva-ish Style. It's supposed to be Remus-trying-to-be-a-romantic-James Style. If you don't read the Harry Potter books then you won't understand how exactly the tone of the poem is meant to come across, but you can still appreciate the poem for itself.Life's Light Your crimson hair is like the sun, Beautiful and bright. Your green eyes are jewels, Mysterious as the night. Your smile, though, is the best of all, And if you smiled at me it would give my life light.

I like it. It's really cute, but...you've got to get over your Remus-thing.

Elf, do not suggest that to Minerva. She will go absolutely insane, well in a bad way. She can be very frightening when it comes to people saying things like 'your Remus-thing' She can be touchy. I must inform you, she will never get over the Remus-thing anyway. So you're trying to stop something that is a lost cause. To ensure my own health, no offense to Minerva. I think that loving a fantasy character is just fine.

Yes, Elf, Animal is right; I will never get over Remus. He is my true love! biggrin heart
Anyway, don't forget that the thread is supposed to be about the poem, not Moony. I just wanted you all to know where the concept for it came from.

Sadly, I must admit that i haven't read the series and don't know the characters. sad In my opinion, the poem itself is very good. smile Even though I don't know the characters, i still like it. nice job! smile

Thanks, Bruki! smile heart Like I said, the books aren't necessary to like/dislike the poem. It's simply that for people that HAVE read them, they'll understand the tone I was trying to get across.
