This is going to look sort of awful until the guild quote glitch gets fixed. D:

Story?
I can write stories! : D
I joined the Suites back around 2004-2005-ish when I wasn't even looking for it. It had been around that time where most of the RPs that I had haunted had started to go down the tubes, and I wanted something else to do along with making some good ol' gold. I complained about it to a friend irl who played on Gaia, and she recommended that I join a guild called the Magical Poll Palace since that's where she frequented. Of course by the end of the day I couldn't remember the name of the place she had recommended so I just typed 'polls' into the guild search and looked around.
A guild titled The Big Suites of Polls caught my eye, and I couldn't help but think, "What the hek kind of name is that? I've got to look at this one."
So I looked, and tentatively put my foot in through the door. Soon after I went through a lot of emotional and physical craziness and found that if I made topics, it made me feel a little better, even when the medicine that was supposed to make me feel better was actually making me feel worse then I had before. People responded to my topics with help and support, making me smile and laugh when I thought that the entire world was crashing down on my head.
There were different people around back then, coming and going, the name has changed, and so has the leadership, but everyone here keeps me coming back for more whether it be support from my latest health escapade or just some silliness I need to get out.
So, thanks Suites! You do more then you think you do.
....Does anyone need a tissue?

I found this guild somehow, and sent a join request. When I was accepted, I was nervous. I really wanted to be social on Gaia, and thought I had the best chance of that in a guild, but I had never before been able to "stick" anywhere.
I replied to other's threads only at first, trying to get a feel and to see if I'd embarrass myself like I usually do. But when I didn't, I got brave and made a thread. Since then, I feel I know the members here well, and I like to think they know me too.
I'm not the most frequent poster because of school, but I love the Suites. This guild has a perfect blend of seriousness and randomness, and also of having good friendships while still accepting new people into the mix. For the first time, I have really felt like I have a "home" on Gaia, and friends who I feel comfortable speaking with. It's just such a pleasant experience here.
Seeing as I'm really very shy, this place has made me feel comfortable enough to post. And for that, I will always remain in the Suites. heart

i was invited here like early/mid 06 or something i didnt do much on here till like late 06 i was too scared to post something on the main that i would do something n00bish and that the crew would eat my face. lol. so i stuck to the fun and games sub and i loved doing the 3 word story lol xD it was such a blast ( The 3 word story )--- after that i lost interent for awhile then when i got it back i started postin more and more. Vi was prolly one of my 1st friends on here it was pretty awesome to finally have people reconize me and actually talk to me. I invited my friend aaron too and he loves it also--- this is the only guild i really stayed active in.

Late '06 I met Lici in fishing and she told me I should join, invited me a few minutes later. BAM, Suites member. I don't remember much of my first days besides thinking this place was all that jazz, and a bag of potato chips. I eventually made my first thread about re-piercing one of my ears myself, and King actually posted in it. Totally awesome.
I don't remember much else from those days. I do, however, always remember Suites being nice to me even if I was a douchebag. I honestly can't remember ever having a problem with any members/crew/etc. back then at all. Everyone was nice to little Newbie Bio. :B <3

Someone invited me around late 2005, but I never really bothered to check it out until around February 2007. xD But even then, I just lurked around. At first, I was just kinda shy, because everyone seemed comfortable, knew each other well, etc. :B I like coming here for the entertainment and news and stuff though~ I just wish I were more sociable--in a sense--then I'd probably be as much of a fanatic as the others. :3

I was invited when another member, the lovely [ Danger Woman ], included me on a list she made of people she thought would settle in quite well. It took me a while to realize that I would but I'm glad I did.
When I first wandered in, I wasn't entirely sure what everyone was about, and how things were run, so I just laid low for a bit. Kei, aka, No Sex For You, was the first person to say hi to me, in a thread I made announcing my presence, and after that, I started posting occasionally. I was happy to see that I was accepted quite readily, as far as I know, and no one seemed to mind the newbie sneaking into the conversation every so often.
The more I lurked, the more I came to like the Suites. I wanted to be known here, and to be as cool as the regs I was seeing. So, I started posting more and more, and getting to know some of the people I consider good friends now. According to my memory, I believe Bio was the first who seemed to be recognizing me when I popped in, and she was pretty much my first friend here.
Since then, I've become a rabid Suiter, and can't bear the thought of ever leaving.
