roll-stepping isn't hard at all. at first i didn't even understand the concept of it but now im doing it without even reliazing that im doing it.

Ha-ha, I was section leader of the piccolos/flutes at the beginning of the year too. Anyways, because there were only three of us and I was the only one who wasn't a feshman, they had a lot of trouble. It was hard at first, but they got it eventually... Roll stepping honestly isn't that hard, you just have to get used to it. It takes practice. Now days I roll step no matter what, and i walk in step with the person next to me. If I don't I go insane...

If they already know how to, its not hard at all. not doing it is just lazyness.
if they don't know how, its hard. and they need to be taught.

Some people might have a hard time doing it because they're new and they're not use to it.

Roll stepping is so easy biggrin I was good at it from the sixth grade when we first started it.
BTW: I get a really goofy smile on my face during marching band.

It has become second nature to me as well. The 8 to the 5 has to.
Consequently, roll stepping is a great way to walk without spilling things.
