Xx-Mizzys_Vengeance-xX I have to agree with the fact that cheerleaders think being in guard is easy. Here's a fun story: At our second home football game, after half time show, during 3rd quarter break, some of the cheerleader's were standing nearby me and sum of my guard buddies, and they were talking real abnoxiously loud about how the guard members are so stupid and spinning is easy for them. So, near the end of the quarter, they get back to their flimsy cheering, and we look at them, memorizing their moves, a couple minutes later, the last minute of 3rd quarter, we start cheering their moves in front of the whole audience, and we were like, "yeah, ur moves are too easy, try tossing a 6 foot pole with a shiny silk and catching it in less than 1 count", they looked stupified. and guess what, they changed ALL their routines for the following game, it was hilarious. xD. I'm sure gonna miss being in the guard, but it's ok, i'm planning on trying out for the BLUE DEVILS 8D Omg, i <3 it. Our danceline does that.

ah, the old cg/cheer rivalry haha. wat fun...
dont think our guard has clashed with the cheerleaders. i have a couple female friends who are in cheer. they claim its more intense than it looks. Yeah, getting ur arms in the right position, real hard...try REAL cheerleading, when they go to comps and stuff like that. I've heard stories....
guard is SOOO much more difficult than cheer. haha us percussionists try to toss rifles and most of us fail miserably lol.
rifles mistaken for real ones? dont think thats ever happened. my dad was in ROTC when he was in highschool and had to toss real rifles...they werent loaded obviously but i think he said theyd work if you did load them.
haha us percussionists are guilty of doing the whole "ill shoot you thing" but were not stupid enough to sword fight with the sabres...we have drumsticks for that! haha

well my friend angelina, who is a cheerleader, is joining guard as well this year. She agrees that guard is MUCH harder than cheerleading haha
plus, the guard at my skool is hotter than 95% of our cheerleaders... xp

Haha, this year at one of the basketball games the winterguard got to perform at halftime. Our routine had one of the ex cheerleaders doing backflips across the floor while me plus three other girls did cartwheels. Our whole show really amazed the audience. But because of our tumbling, the cheerleaders call the guard "Wanna Bes" stressed But I think it's because our flag/rifle twirling/tossing/dancing/flipping show was a shitload cooler than their skanky little cheerleading dance and they were just jealous. xd
