The Dragon of AEthelmearc Has Passed

AEthelmearc has lost a shining star.

Sunday, September 21, Duke Morghun Sheriden fell from the roof of his house. After gradually decreasing brain stem activity, he died today, September 23.

I don't know if anyone else has heard yet, but I felt it should be known.

I have dedicated my avatar in the arena for week 46 to Duke Sir Morguhn. He is single-handedly responsible for bringing Fencing to the East Kingdom. Vivant to a wonderful hero!

Speaking as an Atlantian, Duke Morguhn was a worthy foe. Vivat!

I remember speaking with him at Pennsic this year. He was always the greatest guy. I have a picture of my friend magnus Tindal getting knighted at pennsic this year. Morghun was behind him holding the sword. It was a really great moment and he will be greatly missed. My sword is held high for him this day.

I heard someone mention a Magnus this weekend at the Bare Blade Tavern Brawl. I don't know if this is the same Magnus, though. As we all know...'tis a small world.

Sir magnus Tindall, he was originally from Atlantia but had moved to aethelmearc with his lady and son. He was knighted before the town battle at Pennsic this year
