There was a cat here when I came home today. She's very friendly, so I assumed she belonged to someone, but she's also very thin. I think she might be pregnant, but I'm not sure. If she sticks around I'll find out I guess. In the mean time... what do I do?! It's raining, so I set up a blanket in a place that's somewhat sheltered(dry, anyway), and gave her some food and water, which she ate like she hadn't eaten in a year.

You're off to a good start. I'd suggest calling your humane society, city animal control and any shelters in your area to see if anyone is missing a cat of that description and also consider taking her into a shelter to be checked for a microchip.
If she sticks around and no owner turns up, you'll need to decide what to do with her from there. If you live in an area where the weather isn't too harsh you could look at getting her spayed and her shots and keep her as an out-door cat that you feed and maintain. If you can't or don't want to, then you should consider either trying to find a home for her or taking her to a no-kill shelter.
Definitely do your best to determine whether or not she has an owner before you do that of course.
