My Clover-kitty has a puffy lower lip - it's slightly red and protrudes so when her mouth is closed it looks like the tip of her tongue is sticking out. Her gums around her upper canines also look red, though the rest of her gums look the normal light pink.
She seems otherwise healthy and normal, and the lip and gums don't seem to be causing her any pain. No blisters, cuts or abrasions are visible. Her chin and upper lip look fine too.
I'm just wondering what caused this and if I should be worried. Currently the plan is just to keep an eye on it, rather than running her to the vet right away.
She eats out of a ceramic bowl though occasionally does eat off a plastic placemat, but I'm sceptical about it being a plastic allergy.
Any ideas?

Hi Anlina! *hug*
This sounds like a minor infection or irritation to me. It could also be an ulcer known as Rodent ulcer or an eosinopohilic granuloma. If it doesn't go away in a week or so, you should get the vet to take a look.
