hey..i'm the olny girl in my section! omg....sometimes it's hard being the olny girl tuba player....ne others know how i feel?

Haha I know how ya feel. I was the only girl on the drumline till this year. (female freshie!)

But no one likes her and she sucks at playing/marching, so it doesn't count. xp

It's just like having another guy...

We have one tuba in our band this year, and only had one at the end of last season, and it's a girl. She's pretty short too, which makes it look even more amazing.

We only had one girl in the brass line last year, and she was on trombone, and now she's on tuba, and still the only girl in the brass line. Now she's really respected in the band (even though she's just a sophomore) because if it weren't for her, we wouldn't have a tuba player this year.

Being the only girl tuba player in the band can be kinda fun! Not like I get special treatment or anything (like i need it) but sometimes people will be like "wow i dont know how you do it" or " it must take a lot to carry that thing around." Im not the tallest thing in the world too- my sousaphone is almost as tall as I am. I'm a sophomore too!
