Lucky☆Star is a slice-of-life comedy series that was adapted into anime form by Kyoto Animation in 2007. Extending from the success of the manga and ongoing game series, the anime went on to achieve great fame in the anime community. Since the anime, a light novel has also been released, and an OVA has been announced for a September release (which I am VERY excited about). Feel free to discuss this zany comedy series, and perhaps share your thoughts on the announced OVA.

Go go, Konata-chan! She's my favourite character too. It'll be a while before we get a chance to own the OVA, but I'm sure many fansubs will pop up until official subs are released. I'm glad someone else finally showed interest. Hehe.

i got clueless like this neutral question after i watched the first episode in the internet... idk if i got to watch it all the way or not... the thing im sure right now i like its lively opening theme and i got it in my ipod esp. motteke ReD AliCe Remix... 3nodding

My brother ws exactly like that too, alvhinne. He hated it after watching the first episode, but when I told him to watch it again, he loved it XP It's a little weird at first, but as you adjust to the series you realise that it's weirdness is part of the appeal. The style of the jokes are so unique. I guess it's something you have to learn to appreciate, if you don't get into it straight away like I did. Hehe

Konota is the best. I like how in the very first episode they talked about food for eight minutes or so. Funny.

I thought that food scene was absolutely hilarious (the way it went on and on and on), but it's the reason my brother was put off. The best running gag in Lucky☆Star is the fact that they have ridiculously long conversations about trivial things, exactly as high school girls would in real life XD

I LOVE the theme tune <3 (^o^) There's a hilarious English version on YouTube.

I loved watching it for the first time. The opening caught me good. Also the food scene...hilarious. But favorite part is hands down, Lucky Channel.
