Ever since I got my cat spayed, I can't recall her purring at all, yet I remember her purring all the time beforehand. She'll still curl up on my chest and snuggle me, licking my hands and chewing on my fingers and still loving me very much, but she just won't purr. If she *is* purring, then I can't hear, feel, or see it.
Think she's just being a temperamental little kitty cat? :P

Eh.. My cat purrs a lot less then she used to, but she still love bites me and sleeps with me, and sometimes I can't get her to STOP purring.
When she lays with you, do you pet her? Rub her chin, behind her ears. See if that'll get her going. If anything, brush her. My cat goes NUTS when the brush comes out.

I'm *constantly* brushing her, petting her, scritching behind her ears, etc. whee
An update though: I decided to do an experiment. While she was cuddling me earlier, I put my ear to her stomach and I could a very low faint purr. We're talking like.. everything has to be dead silent with your ear on her stomach to even hear it a little.
It's not much, but it's there! :'D
