Oasis is one of the best modern british rock bands out there in my opinion. Some of my favorite songs are "Don't Look Back In Anger" and "Champaign Supernova".

Band Biography

Oasis was formed in Manchester, England in 1991 by Liam Gallagher (Lead Vocals), Paul Arthurs (Guitarist), Paul McGuigan (Bassist), and Tony McCarroll (drums), who were soon joined by Liam's older brother Noel Gallagher (Vocals and Lead Guitarist). Oasis has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and have had 8 number one singles in the UK. The Gallagher brothers are the lead song writers and only continual band members. The present band members are Liam and Noel Gallagher, rhythm/lead guitarist and songwriter Gem Archer, guitarist and songwriter Andy Bell, and unofficial drummer Chris Sharrock. The band gained their original prominence by performing the Manchester club circuit. Their first album was Definitely Maybe, released in 1994. The following year, the band recorded "(What's the Story) Morning Glory" with new drummer Alan White. At the height of their fame, Oasis release their third album Be Here Now in 1997, and became the fastest selling album in the UK chart history. While recording their forth album Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants, released in 2000, originally began recording in 1999, but Oasis sadly lost two of the original founding members and suffered a notable decline in popularity in the US. The two members were replaced by Andy Bell and Gem Archer for Heathen Chemistry (2002). Their sixth album Don't Believe the Truth, with Zak Starkey, despite turbulent recording, became their best selling and best receiving album in a decade. The following year, the band released a compilation album entitled Stop the Clocks (2003). In 2007, Oasis received the BRIT Award for outstanding contribution to music. Dig Out Your Soul, the bands seventh album, is set to be released in October 2008.

Oasis is MY Beatles. the music just touches my soul and takes me to world of Love. "Let there be love" is by far my favorite song of all time. All the other songs are god too especially "sad song".
