I'm playing pretty much every mallet percussion instrument this year =] In our band, we don't stick to one specific instrument. And plus, I'm the section leader this year. 3nodding

hmmm well if your just talking about mallet instruments... then id have to say marimba... but if you include aux. percussion... then it most deffinidently has to be.......

I used to like the xylophone, bells, and vibraphone, but the mallets you use for em are too light compared to the marimba mallets i use for competitions and football games

so i started off on the mellophone but switched to pitt because i injured my back and can't march. i have my last day of band camp tomorrow and just got my music today. any advice on learning the music as quickly as possible? i've never played a mallet instrument before and i'm now playing xylophone.
