Are cats reliable on catching house pests such as lizards and cockroaches?
Our house is a common spot for cockroaches and every member of our family's scared of roaches.
Is it healthy for cats? Will the cats the able to catch a flying roach?

I think it totally depends on the cat. Some are excellent hunters and some just suck at it.
You might be able to take care of lizards with a cat, but I suspect cockroaches would never completely disappear, just because they lay so many eggs.
I don't think roaches are toxic, but probably potentially carry diseases depending on the area, and if you're in an apartment building, I'd be cautious about letting your cat hunt them, since they might have consumed poison that someone else put out, but that hadn't killed them yet.
Lizards should be safe provided they don't bite or injure your cat - I know of plenty of cats who regularly hunt lizards and eat them.

Wow, I've never heard of lizards as pests. Lizards are considered exotic pets here. lol
My cat catches flies and moths and eats them all the time. Yeah, generally, cockroaches should be okay. Obviously, if the roach has been poisoned, then your can might be in danger from bioamplification. But as a creature alone, cockroaches shouldn't be a problem. I remember living in a roach infested apartment, and my cat ate them all the time.
