Okay, so I've been watching BABY's website very closely since June started by checking it a couple times a day. Yet, I haven't seen or heard anything about Summer Lucky Packs... Does anyone know anything as of now?
Also, are Meta's "Special Sets" Lucky packs? I feel a little stupid for asking, but I'd rather learn of it now then later on... sweatdrop
Oh, and also, how much do BABY's packs run for? I'd like to know because my boyfriend keeps asking me to let him buy me Lolita, but I refuse because it's so expensive, yet I think this would be a good opportunity for him if he wanted to buy me something for my birthday.

Baby usually only does LPs in their stores, rather than online. They did a "lucky pack" last summer that was more or less just a bunch of AatP merchandise that didn't sell. They didn't release it until late in the summer, either. Their winter LPs cost either 8000, 10000 or 15000 yen, usually. They contain different things, too. The 8000 one is accessories, the 10k and 15k are JSK sets of some sort. For summer last year, they ranged between 8000 and 15000 yen, again, with different "sets" in them.
I can't remember exactly what they all were but, these are the ones I remember:
One set was a skirt, top and socks or a hair accessory or bag.
One was a set with pants and a top with socks or accessories.
One was a set with a matching skirt, top and socks or bag.
One was a cut-sew set with cutsew top, skirt and accessorie
One was a JSK set with socks or hairbow and a cutsew.
They released them in two waves with the skirt, JSK and skirt sets being first. The pants and cutsew set came a few weeks later. Also, Baby doesn't put their LPs on the site for winter, and I don't know if they'll do a similar LP for this year yet [I honestly haven't been keeping up with brand news lately as much as usual], but if they do, theirs is worth far more to a beginner lolita than Meta's. You get a full outfit for a bit more money [since you have to use a shopping service], usually with a JSK, socks, hairbow, blouse and tote bag plus a novelty item [this winter they had calendars]. Same thing for AP.
As for the Meta Special sets, that's a bit more complex.
Special Sets from Meta are what Lucky Packs are for Baby and AP during the winter. Baby and AP release a lucky pack that is a full outfit which is great for beginners. In this case, Meta's "special set" has a marine theme with the option of two jumpers and matching socks. One of the JSKs has already sold out, sadly. The winter Special Sets came with a jumper skirt, socks and a cell phone strap/bracelet and necklace.
From the page that Meta has up, only the jumperskirt and socks will be included this time, though you can pick which style you prefer unlike before. Meta has released sets in the past, however they were not "special" sets put up for reserve as this set and the winter set were, but merely sold as regular items on the site. This caused a problem with the shopping cart system when people rushed to order them, however, so Meta devised a new system to release them as a reserved item.
Meta has not yet announced a summer lucky pack release, though it is likely that they will do so soon. A lucky pack (in Meta's case) consists mostly of odds and ends that they could not sell, but which are ideal for a beginning lolita. Most of the time, basic blouses and bloomers are included, and often a jumper, skirt or OP will appear in the pack as well. A lot of members on EGL have been speculating about what will be in the Lucky Packs, since the past releases included a few relatively highly sought beginner's items (like the marine series skirts and jumpers with the little sail boats).
If anything that is beyond just a basic blouse or bloomer is included in a lucky pack, it is likely to come from the sales pages. Meta's sometimes duplicates items, such as two pairs of bloomers with a skirt and random blouse. That kind of thing.

No problem. This question comes up pretty often, so I kind of just copy and paste my answers as necessary when people ask later. XD
Most of the text there was used in another, similar thread in Loli Dollies a while back, right before the Special Sets were released.
