We had drama this year... It was psycho... You see, for the first time since our percussion instructor came to our school, he accepted a girl to the drumline. A girl who just happened to be the main band director's daughter. Before then, everyone had concluded that our perc. instructor was a bit sexist, and then he let on that girl and one of her best friends. My conclusion: he let the first on becuse of her status and the other so it didn't look like the first was because of her status. Well, I only expressed that to my one friend in the pit (I'm in the pit myself), and only in private. Well, our instructor, started being all... jerkish to her (friend-hereby L), and he (T) told L that if she was going to have her attitude, she should just quit band. So, she did. But before that, T talked to both of us about how band is supposed to be a positive experience, and we want to keep it positive by not putting anything negative into it. And we should spread rumors. (I wasn't sure then what he was talking about, but I eentually caught on). After L quit (less than a week later), T pulled me aside to see if I was still going to be in pit, even though my only friend wasn't there any more. I said yeah, and he asked me if I had any questions or anything else. I finally thought of something and asked him: Why did you single me and L out for "spreading rumors"? he said that he knew L didn't like him, and therefore I was guilty by association. Well, the second bit wasn't his words, but I think y'all can figure out what I'm saying.

Kick his a** of the line. You are not over reacting. Definatly. And the girl, that you were talking about, the one that got first drum who was thinking she was gonna take charge, well I have a junior in the pit, and he won't listen to anybody. He's like I'm not listening to some stupid freshmen. -I'm a freshmen, and I'm pit captain. I'm so gonna be on drumline next year!!!

bobthesmurf Polish - Drummer bobthesmurf Wow, I really wish my friends and I were in a bigger school. There's a total of 10 of us in the Drumline; 4 Basses, 3 Snares, 2 Quads, and 1 Cymbals. We're all best buds, and the Freshman that try out get to know us really fast. I guess having a smaller group makes it easier to stay calm when someone annoying comes along, because a majority vote from everyone on Drumline can kick someone off here. Ha, I like being in a small school. There's an eight person Drumline here, and we wouldn't want it any other way. All the drummers are good friends, and .. actually, everyone in band is friends with everyone else. Most of us sit at three combined tables at lunch. 3nodding On our drumline, we have three basses, two snares, one quad, and two cymbals. Next year, we'll probably have .. hmm.. hold on. Let me figure this out. Me - Snare Mau - Snare Dani - Snare Jeanne - Quads Justin - Quads Rachel - Bass Matt - Bass Kyle - Bass Quentin - Cymbals ...Yeah, that's probably going to be it. Trevor's going to graduate this year! Nuu! crying As fun as it is to only have a small Drumline, you can't really do as much as you could with a bigger group. But we switch instruments in the middle of shows, I've never seen a big Drumline do that. Drove the crowds crazy... ..No, we can. We do a whole bunch of stuff. I love having a small drumline. Honestly, I don't like high school drumlines that have more then twelve people. This year, our whole drumline gets along with one another. We only argue about stupid little things, that are pretty much jokes. I love my nine person dwumline. -hugs it-
