Did anyone ever notice that Fan+Friend seems to take their clothing style, patterns and stuff from Gosurori books? I hoarde the Gosuloli books like no tomorrow and that's the first thing I noticed while browsing f+f. A lot of the concepts, ideas, designs... Gosurori.

Please do not hotlink from websites. It sucks their bandwidth and can crash their entire site. If you wish to display a photo, please save it and upload it to another server, such as photobucket.
FanPlusFriend is not some team of designers intending to make a name for themselves with their own unique designs. Almost all of their items are replicas, meant to be sold to Lolitas who are on a tighter budget and cannot afford the originals, or they are replicas of brands that sell out fast (such as their Mary Magdalene replicas). Fan + Friend deals out of Hong Kong, and it is fairly common practice in China to replicate items of major brand names. Even though HK is part of mainland China, it does maintain its own laws on intellectual property, but neither HK or mainland China have the same copyright laws as the rest of the world-- HK only covering 9 catergories, not specifically including works of fashion. The closest catergory is "Artistic Works," and the relation of artistic works to fashion and design is up for debate where laws are concerned. Without strict copyright laws, they are free to profit off of the clothing designs of others. Charges that criminalize the copying of other materials have been found to be quite controversial, and only really affecting printed materials-- leaving HK unique in the common law world for treating copying infringing materials differently between printed and non-printed materials.
End rambling.

Even still, what's the issue? F+F makes their clothes using patterns that have been issued to the public. They don't claim to make their own fashion designs. They just make the clothes for people who can't and who want them.
Plus, they're the only company I've found that makes their clothing in custom sizes, which is good if you're someone like me who can't keep squeezing her chest into clothing three to six sizes too small. They're also polite and friendly people.

Some of their designs are extremely cosplayish. Some are really nice. It just depends on what you're buying.
That looks lovely, just remember that it's a jumperskirt, so it's meant to be worn with a blouse underneath it.
