I agree with all your answers, but I have no clue about number four either. I'm guessing that it isn't some type of comet or something, and that is one of those obvious things that everyone should know. confused

Let's see. I just found these on the Internet. You guys have probably heard them before, but maybe not. mrgreen
1. I run over fields and woods all day. Under the bed at night I sit not alone. My tongue hangs out, up and to the rear, waiting to be filled in the morning. What am I?
2. What can run but never walks, has a mouth but never talks, has a head but never weeps, and has a bed but never sleeps?
3. I can be cracked; I can be made. I can be told; I can be played. What am I?

Alvinette's answers were all correct. smile As for no.4, it's a little harder, yes. Ric_PT 4) What happened in the middle of the twentieth century that will not happen again for 4,000 years? I'll give a hint. The year in question is 1961. smile And don't take those 4,000 years to the exact number. It's around 4,000 years.

My thought with 1961 is that if you slip it in half, you get 19 and 61, which are the same number if you turn them upside down. I chose 6889 because you get 68 and 89 in the exact same way by turning the numbers upside down. biggrin

Here are some riddles courtesy of the Sloth Room! We came up with these original riddles in a meebo room, so you can't cheat and find the answers! heart Everyone, try to solve as many as you can (unless you're Alvinette). She helped us write these riddles. lol
People fear me as a harbinger of disease, yet without me, people would encounter many more diseases. I am not a king, but people often refer to themselves as kings when they are around. What am I?
I may have been seen in a tense past, but I still make the cut! What am I?
I am a fellow of many heads. I feel like I'm always going in circles, but people love me for my driving power. What am I?
I am neither cold nor cruel, but I'm always calculating as the beads on my necklaces slide from side to side. What am I?
I am a master of blades. I am rapid in my movements, but I never go anywhere. If I work without my hat, there will be a terrible price to pay. What am I?
They say not to bite the hand that feeds you, but I help people who are rough around the edges. What am I?
I have wheels that control my direction and pedals that control my speed, but I sit still and keep the fabric of your life together. What am I?
I run in circles, but never go anywhere. Despite this, people are always looking to me for guidance. Without me, you may learn to be more patient. What am I?
I am the tool of laziness. People who use me too much are often rooted. What am I?
I am the paradigm of ideas. I'm always burning, yet I never catch fire. What am I?
I am a young invention, but people can't live without me. I can do more than all of my elders despite my small size. Although I can be used to accomplish great things, people have a tendency to use me for very dumb reasons. What am I?
