It's like a bicycle in a way. You might not ride one from years but it will come back to you after you're on it for a while. =D
If I looked back to what I was like when I started RPing [back in the dark ages] I am sure that I would convulse in shock. I know it's bad, I am just not sure *how* bad. I still keep in contact with one of my old buddies, though. I don't have the heart to tell him how bad we were...

Syrenrei Yeah... my non-guilded RP has only four players and so we frequently get held up when someone is AWOL. At the same time, tho, we plot everything on AIM and able to knock out several posts a night when we try. It's easy to just IM someone and say "post." =) I've been in that other RP about 5 years I think. I am hardcore. <3 (I also have a s**t ton of characters in that RP. I'd say maybe a dozen or more?) I quote you for the sake of not having to go back and forth between pages. /lazy~
I was in a little arpee where I dabbled about after not having arpee'd in quite some time. [[ I hope you don't mind me stealing your 'arpee' word. It has rather grown on me. ><; ]] It had four people, and I was traipsing about as normal, when two of them suddenly just disappeared off the face of the planet. Put a damper on things, quite so. Then I found the kittens, and all was well with the world. + 3+ But regardless [[ excuse the ADD ]], I guess it would have been easier if I knew AIM addresses. You're smarter than I am in this aspect as well.
Wowzers. o: I would definitely get distracted by things in 5 years. You are committed. /shiny eyes~ The only thing I've been able to keep up with for that long is TRYING TO BEAT @#$%!# FINAL FANTASY X. D8< TIDUS, HOW YOU PAIN ME SO! /agony
Trying to keep up with twelve characters would result in a stroke for Spew.

It isn't as hard as it sounds. After you play them for a long time, they sort of get ingrained in you. It's like knowing someone through high school... they aren't too hard to keep track of, are they? Nope, not for me either! It helps I can always go back a few hundred pages and read about them if I forget something. <3
Actually, I am bringing back a new version of Jenna in Viva La Resistance. Several parts of her have changed, but I kept her physical appearance, most of her personality, and some of her powers intact. I felt like Jenna had to be brought back in some way and given a new lease on life. Old Jenna simply wouldn't fit in most RPs. I'll let that old version RIP. The new version is the female version of a "womanizer" (i.e. she's a player). It shall be interesting!

I suppose. Then again, I never have been all that talented with keeping up with high school acquaintances. /shifty glances Perhaps I shall try following your example.
Finally, a chance to see Jenna in action! This is just cause for a stalking. /lurking time~ And... to quote modern lingo, "Playa playa!" [/is shot]

"Judge" and W'Turnia are also reincarnations of old characters I am slipping into the RP. It's a really... involved RP. All the reading will be worth it, though, considering the carnage that will be involed! <3

I don't remember much about my first character. She was made into the World of Darkness game, the Werewolf: the Apocalypse system. She was a Get of Fenris (a tribe of werewolves descended from Norsemen that are particularly battle-lusty), and had the highest statistics possible for appearance, strength, and brawl. So she was insanely beautiful, insanely strong, and insanely good at fighting. And she was prone to curious fits of agony and rage that could only be cured by stuffing rose petals down her gullet. ..... *Shakes head at younger self* Sooooo bad....

Ahem... I remember my first ever character. Well, the first one not based on a game system anyway. It was a silly thing at first. A half-demon sephiroth lookalike with a pretty big sword, or two of them.. But it was more or less the standard for MSN chats in those days. Over time, I changed and re-invented the character several times, completely changing him over as my ideas on roleplaying evolved. 3nodding To this day, he is still my character. heart

This is no white cross, it seems we're out of class...Ah, my first character. I remember her. I guess I'd read enough RPs by the time I created a character that I stayed away from the god-modding type. She was simple. Reika, a magic user in training with a temper and a suspicious streak. However, to avoid god-modding (which I quickly found that I hated) I overcompensated in the other direction, so she was a total pushover. Not much of a threat at all. And my posts, I don't even want to think of them. At least I wrote a lot before I started RP-ing, so I had complete sentences with proper grammar, capitalization and punctuation. However, content was severely lacking. We all are fragile, like statues made of sand...
