this year will be "The American Dream"
separated into "Dreams" "Fears" and "Realizations"
the music is coming from American Pie and Appalachian Spring
its really pretty =]

well we were going to go to dayton but we decided not to. our theame this upcoming season is "the art of consequence"
its about the mathematical theory of the butterfly effect, where one small thing can effect everything.
my band director said it would be colorguard-centric so im super excited!!!

last year we didnt have a theme all we did was play random songs one happened to be from the musical rent. our drumline rocked that year. this year we're doin Queen the band. drumline this year.....................aint so good

I'm from Westfield High school, and our theme is something along the lines of "Exotic Expressions" Or something like that. I think it's like Middle Eastern, almost Arabian nights.
The music sounds so much better than last years though; Last year we had a patriotic theme for the 3rd straight year, and our closer was a retarded mix of America the Beautiful and the National Anthem, complete with these blasts that sounded like retarded car horns.

Last year we had a Jazz show called "Fascinating Rhythms." The music wasn't horrible, but the entire show just sucked.
Then the BD said that she decided we wouldn't do another jazz show.
So she picked a Latin show instead. "Musica Fuerte" (strong music).
But it's jazz. It may say that it's Latin music, but whatever way you look at it, it's jazz. (There's this website that has midi files of the shows, because these days the band just buys shows instead of writing their own, because of our *as of last year* new BD.)
I'm fairly disappointed with the themes, but the experience in itself is still fun.

for this upcoming marching season our show is titled, "WIRED"
and its totally based on aespects of electricity.
our directors got this idea because last year at the very first competition, when our band and guard was doing there on the field the lights go out all of a sudden!!! but they just keep on pereforming biggrin

last year our show was "Reflections" and it was sorta Africany too.
this year our theme is "A young person's orchestra" or something like that. idk. i just know the band is playing orchestra-y music and the colorguard's uniform will be orchestra conductors cool
