Every year, we get the most random instrument player to be in drumline.
My first year, it was a a** guitarist (understandable)
Then, a basoon player.
Then, a Chello player.
I was wondering if there's other bands like that.
These people had no clue how to play the drums, like wtf mr. crazy band director?

i'm not in drumline yet but our 8th graders suck and a lot of the other bass players on the rumline are quiting but thats kinda what ure saying but i'm shure next year i will probly be in the drumline while there are all in pit playing like a triangle!(no offense against pit!)

The 8th grade "percussionist" this year totally suck. They can't read rhythms or notes and they can't play in time. It's disgraceful. Our line next year is gonna suck hard.
For the past 3 years, our drum line steals a member of the saxophone section. Hahah.

To AllThe Monkeys And Such, ME!!!!! TIS ME!!!!! their is only 1 person in my drum line that actually plays drums i personally play violin 2 others play violin 1 other plays viola 2 plays sax 2 others play nothing ~Says The Satchmoe

We had a bassoonist in the pit this year (most of our pit is double-reed players), actually playing bassoon, but he was also our first vibe. Effing amazing musician, though I'd never say it to his face (the ego already has its own climate).

We had a bass clarinet in pit, a berry sax in bassline, and our tenor is a sax/clarinet.

we are mainly randomness intrement player
4 trumpets
4 saxa-ma-phones
oboe and basson
2 baratone
2 clarinet
2 tenor sax
french horn
yup yup
were 28 people so we have 13 plain percuisionists
WHOOT!

That's kinda how our indoor percussion group is. The battery is mostly just freshman drummers, but the pit is:
2 clarinets
1 oboe
1 guitarist
1 bari sax
1 alto sax
and then we have three actual percussionists.
