- popped my knee out of place while doing a parralell toss and catching it on my knees
- Broken my nose with a sabre
- got a concussion from someone who couldnt control their tosses

Let's see how long the list is...
1) Tendonitis in my left wrist.
2) Whacked myself in the face with a one-handed parallel freshman year. It was the first (and only) time I wore my glasses to practice. They went flyin'.
3) Whacked myself in the back of the head while horsing around with the flag.
4) The occasional bruise from rifle and saber.
5) Did something funky to my elbow while tossing quads on my rifle. Still don't know what that was, but I wore a brace on it for a little while. It complimented the wrist brace nicely.
6) Jammed thumbs and such from catching the rifle.
7) Got cut on the forearm once by the saber. It was the dull side that did it, ironically enough.
8 ) Stepped on a piece of glass during an indoor guard practice. How that piece of glass got on the tarp, I'll never know. Had to wrap up my foot for the competition that night...
Nothing too serious. Mostly mild annoyances. Except the wrist. That bugger still hurts. Add that to an injury I got during one of my college classes... Spinning is so hard now. *sigh* I managed to separate my shoulder while practicing a roll for my Unarmed Stage Combat class. So yeah. Spinning rifle now equals ow. Makes me sad, since I love rifle...

I was tossing my rifle and I put way too much rotation on it. It landed on my middle toe on my right foot, and somehow caused it to split(there basically was a flap of skin and muscle) and the bone chipped. I had to get 6 stitches and used crutched for I think about 6 weeks. So now it looks like I have a butt toe XD. People on my guard have nicknamed it the Frankentoe.
And of course, I have suffered through many twisted ankles, jammed fingers, whacks on the head, etc, etc that come with being on guard. biggrin

I haven't done anything really bad but i have a really big bruise on my knee and i hit myself in the head with a rifle.
There was this one girl in guard who was doing a flat toss with her rifle and ended up breaking her nose somehow

it was a long day at band camp and lack of water... sweatdrop ...and i did a push spin not knowing i did it to low on the pole...i was soooo dehydrated...and i hit the side of my foot and it swelled isntantly!!!!!!

On the first day of WG practice, right before practice, a friend and I started wrestling and he nearly broke my leg in half, which hurt like hell but I stayed in guard. I had to wear a knee brace during every practice and it made doing simple floor work extremely difficult to do. stressed
I've jammed both my thumbs attempting rifle.
Knocked myself out cold with a rifle.
Hit myself on one side of my forehead with a flag leaving a huge bump, then about 5 minutes later doing it again on the exact opposite side of my forehead. I looked like I had horns.
During one of the football games in the middle of a performance, one of the guard girls hit my horn with her flag causing my mouthpiece to nearly bust my lip open.
And I did some kind of toss during practice and didn't do it right and it went flying right through a syrafoam prop. No one was hurt. Well except for the prop. sweatdrop
Guard's dangerous. neutral

I have never been injured too badly (I'm just too good, not lol) but my friend tripped during a halftime performance and broke her elbow... She had to spend the following weeks with her arm in a sling...

I managed to jam all of my right hand's fingers but my thumb...at the same time. DOING A FRIGGIN' SINGLE ON FLAG.
Sabre has nearly broken my fingers.

so, this never happened to me, but last year in winter, my friend did a horizontal on sabre (i think) and it hit her in the right eyebrow and it was bleeding and such.
last spring, my best friend did a horizontal on rifle and hit herself in the right eyebrow and it was bleeding (it was even funnier because we had a sub...yeah, we're a class...and the sub started freaking out, and it didn't even hurt!) then she had to go see if she had a concussion and crap like that...so, today, at practice, a freshman was doing the SAME HORIZONTAL that my best friend was doing,and hit herself in the EXACT SAME PLACE!!!! and she had to go home in case she had a concussion!!!
its really kinda weird, no we ahve 3 people in guard with scars on their right eyebrows....

Ive broken my nose with my rifle... also jammed my pinkies many times.
this one time I did a quad and it came down and ripped off almost all of my thumb nail. It was pretty funny. It happened in the middle of the show and I had to go the rest of the show bleeding all over my rifle. LOL!
lol my cousin got the back of her head cut open with a saber.
she had to have it stapled shut xD

Well, I'm not in guard but, one move we were doing put us band people in a circle with a guard in the center of us. I was doing Clarinet at the time. Well the guard girl was using the rifle and spinned it three times in the air. Supposed to be the biggest spin in the show. Well, during practice she did her spin but missed the catch, it fell down and bounced hitting the back of my knees. Now, we play during this part, and as it hits the back of my knees my clarinet goes out of my mouth and I land face first on the ground, due to the rifle hitting the back of knees with a bit of force. I stayed on the ground for about a min. I bruised my nose and it bleed for a bit. (So it may not be a true injury, but it was a funny story. I laughed while writing this remembering the day.)

Our coach was like, "Are you TRYING to castrate her?"

I was walking down the hallway and one of the guard turned around just as I was trying to pass her, and hit me in the crotch. Good thing I'm not a guy, or it would have really hurt.
